Jack had said he'd be out for most of the day, and as guilty as it had made Isabela feel for a moment, she was fine with that. Her stitches were gone, and the leg was back to normal, as far as she could tell. She was celebrating the occasion by stealing one of Aaron's button-down shirts and lying on the couch with a book, waiting for him to get home.
